Liverpool FC's new third kit for the 2023-24 season was surprisingly revealed by Alisson Becker, Missy Bo Kearns and Dominik Szoboszlai at a free fan event held at Liverpool Olympia last night. The live unveiling was in collaboration with BOSS Night, who organised a sold-out pre-season concert.
Nike's updated 23-24 fabric debuted on the Nike 2023 Women's World Cup jerseys.
The Liverpool 23-24 third shirt from Nike features an unusual color scheme for the Merseyside club. It combines a light purple base with a darker purple on the sides and sleeve cuffs, and white for the logos.
The replica version of the Liverpool 23-24 third shirt appears to be much darker; more details on this will be given in a separate article.
Officially, the colours of the Liverpool 23-24 Nike third shirt are "Space Purple/Court Purple/White". Space Purple is the same color used for the Liverpool 2023-24 goalkeeper shirt.
A messy line/stripe pattern throughout the jersey covers cloud-like shapes in light and dark purple, further adding to the modern color scheme.
In terms of design, the Nike Liverpool 23-24 third shirt is based on a new global template from Nike. This template made its debut with the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup jerseys and is used for all Nike 23-24 third kits. Notably, it features V-shaped panels in the collar area.
The LFC crest and Nike Swoosh logos have a distinctive speckled look due to the use of Nike Grind. Nike Grind is produced by recycling manufacturing waste and old shoes into new materials.
